Part 6

I sat there watching her, this fine piece of meat, or at least that is what I thought of her at the time, since to me, she was just a meal. I could hear her friend whisper. "You seem to have a young admirer... a little too young for this kinda place." Esper turned her head slowly towards me until her lavender gaze met mine. Her eyes seemed to draw me in, such a deep gaze of lavender. It only lasted a second as she turned away and without any word spoken, she left. I was puzzled wondering if this was her way of making me follow her. Of course I would, but I wouldn't do it in such a way that it would go along with what she wanted me to do. I swiftly made my exit as well and took to the rooftops to follow the silver vixen that was trying to elude yet also encourage my pursuit. I spotted her ambling down an alleyway. Perfect. Or so I thought until a group of burly men appeared opposite of her and began making their way to her with obvious intentions. I saw her first morons. I was about to drop down on them except she seemed to accelerate as she got closer to them until I heard something crack. Her fist had collided with the jaw of the first man sending him reeling back into the group. Because of their size they couldn't all fit into the alleyway forcing them into single file. As for her, she was slim enough to dart through the small space and even pass these epitome of idiots that clearly had some ill-mannered thoughts. This human had surprised me and I couldn't help but feel admiration for her, and so I decided not to eat her, but instead to learn more about this wonderful creature that dazzled me, and so I continued following her as she got onto the main pathway and was headed for her home, a pleasant little house just like my mistress' cottage. At least that's what I guessed. I was dead wrong and was not mentally prepared for what awaited me at the end of the journey. She quickly scampered down another alleyway into a more shaded area. Buildings rose high on both sides casting long shadows on the road. We were in the poor area where people had to struggle, where one could only hope that they would awake to see the next sunrise. She turned and entered one of the tall buildings and I soon followed. I boarded the same elevator as her and she turned to me for the second time. "I knew you would follow." I kept my calm even though I felt like an idiot for allowing myself to do as she wanted me to. She gave me a knowing smile and exited. Her hips swayed with her movements and her back beckoned me to follow, and so I did. Perhaps I've been put under a spell. Yes, I was under her spell.
